Financial Analysis for International Students

Understanding Australian financial systems doesn't have to feel overwhelming. We've built our approach around the real challenges you face when managing finances in a new country—because we've been there too.

Designed Around Your Student Life

Most financial analysis courses assume you're already familiar with local banking systems and tax structures. Ours doesn't. We start with the basics you actually need—setting up accounts, understanding Australian financial terminology, and navigating student-specific regulations.

The six-month certificate programme beginning September 2025 meets twice weekly in the evenings, scheduled around typical student commitments. Between sessions, you'll work through real scenarios that mirror situations you're likely to encounter.

  • Personal budget management with exchange rate considerations
  • Australian tax basics for students with part-time work
  • Reading and interpreting financial statements
  • Tools for tracking income across multiple currencies

Who You'll Learn From

Our instructors remember what it's like to be confused by a Superannuation statement or unsure about GST. They've made the transition themselves.

Financial Literacy Coordinator

Branimir moved here from Croatia in 2019 for postgraduate studies. After struggling with his own financial confusion—he accidentally paid three months of rent in advance due to a misunderstanding—he started helping other students navigate similar situations. He now runs workshops specifically for international cohorts.

He teaches the practical analysis components of our programme and is known for breaking down complicated concepts into manageable pieces. His background in both education and industry gives students a realistic perspective.

What You'll Have Access To

Beyond the structured sessions, you'll get materials that address the specific gaps international students face when learning financial analysis in Australia.

Context-Specific Case Studies

Work through scenarios involving student visa conditions, international transaction fees, and managing finances across borders—not just generic textbook examples.

Financial Terms Glossary

Australian financial terminology explained in plain language, with comparisons to systems in other countries where helpful. Because "offset account" doesn't mean much if you've never encountered the concept.

Monthly Q&A Sessions

Bring your actual questions about forms you're filling out, statements you've received, or situations you're navigating. These informal sessions often end up being where the most practical learning happens.

Alumni Network Connection

Get introduced to past participants who've successfully built careers in financial roles after graduation. It helps to talk with someone who's been through the same confusion and come out the other side.
